Post for 12-18/08

Ahhh. Another day, another post for this blog. Today was pretty decent. I went to the mall and my dad wanted to by me some clothes as a present. We went into the store and we were and I was trying some pants, and the pants I tried on were to small. When I tried to button them up, I couldnt breathe. I really need to lose some weight. But enough about me and my weight problems. I've been thinking about buying a xbox 360, but I have been procrastinating about buying it. I have been thinking about buying one for a while, but I dont know if I really want one right now. I want one because I want to try the games on there. I've been really wanting to try grand theft auto 4, halo 3, street fighter 4 (which is coming out soon), and other games on the 360. I've just procrastinated and have been lazy to buy one. Maybe I'm just not into buying video game systems anymore. And I'm just okay with the ps2 that I have right now. Because when you look at the ps3,the 360, and the wii right now, the games are very similar to the games for the ps2, the first xbox and gamecube. The only difference is that the newer game systems right now have better graphics. I have the money to buy the 360, I have just been lacking the will to go out and buy one. Maybe one of these day I'll get it, but I dont have any reason to buy one. What really had aggravated me about this generation, is the price of the ps3. Its starting out price was 500 and 600 dollars!!! 500 AND 600 DOLLARS!!! I was so mad when I saw those prices, I said that thats it, sony just went up on there systems and I'm not going to spend 500 or 600 dollars on a system just to play a videogame, and after 5 or 6 years, they will release something else. The only reason why I would buy a ps3, is if I always had that type of money to throw around. I was so mad at them. But who knows. Maybe one day I will buy a ps3 and the I will be playing ps3 games. I was so mad at sony because the ps2 was the best system I ever owned. I use my ps2 every day. Maybe thats the reason why I'm not ready to buy a 360. Oh well.

But anyways, I have started playing True Crime: New York City again. I've always loved that game. I love free roaming games. I like that you can take a cab in this games and instead of driving from one part of the city to another like in streets of L.A.( not saying its a bad game, Its just that it takes to long to drive from chinatown to hollywood going at full speed.), you can take a subway or a cab and get to the places faster. I also like the fact that you have more of a versatile fighting system wheras in streets of L.A., you have a very horrid fighting system (still a great game though) where your character throws haymakers and retarded little kicks. Its a very ugly fighting style. True Crime NYC on the other had, had styles like Wushu, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thay, Karate, and fist fighting to start out as the style you start out as. The only annoying part about geting the fighting styles is that you have to go around Manhattan to find the styles, and some times you can go to the same dojo (because you have to go to a certain dojo to learn a certain style), you can dgo to the same dojo that you have already been to and have to go to another dojo searching fo a different style. And It can get very annoying, especially if you are driving to the dojos in your own car. Plus, sometimes if you go to a dojo, it can be at a certain time and the dojo is closed. So sometimes you have to go to a hotel near by and you have to check in and then after you spend time in the hotel, you can go out and then check to see if the dojo is open. The shooting is so much better than the first game because not only can you buy weapons that you want, but also you can put in a code where you can have unlimited ammo. You kind of have to do the same thing with the guns as with the martial arts, but if you get use to it just like going to the dojos, its not that bad. There is so much you can do in the New York City game than what you can do in the Los Angeles game. The NYC game to me has so much more replay value than the L.A. game. I really like the true crime games. The next cities I think they shoud do is either Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas, or the bay area (possibly have San Fransisco and Oakland in the same game. That is if they can put both of the cities in the game and still have room left over to put some good gameplay elements in there.). But anyways, I think I'm done for today. I'll be back tomorrow. Take care whoever reads this.
